The Open Dots™ Alliance provides the specifications that define the Open Dots™ standard. In addition, the Open Dots™ Alliance provides the test protocol whereby a product can be certified to display the Open Dots™ Compatibility Logo.
For a product to officially display the Open Dots™ Compatibility Logo, it must pass the test protocol, either performed internally, or tested by an officially qualified outside lab. These results are recorded on the appropriate Certification Check List and kept on file. If the product passes these tests, and if the company is a member of the Open Dots™ Alliance, then the product may bear the Open Dots™ Compatibility Logo.
The Open Dots Alliance may at times request to view these test results if a question of compatibility arises or to assess the program status.
If you represent a lab that wishes to obtain official qualification, please address your inquires here.
